Dear Member,
Annual General Meeting – 1030 hrs Sun 10 Jan 2010 – Kempsey Community Centre
You will probably be pleased to know that this current Committee’s tenure is almost at an end and it is now time to give your consideration to the voting in of the new officers of the Club or hopefully volunteering yourself.
We are actively encouraging fresh blood onto the committee and would welcome nominations from players, their spouses or other non playing members. We would particularly welcome parents of our junior players as they were singularly unrepresented during last season.
We would stress that cricketing experience is totally unnecessary as only a rudimentary knowledge is required. More important is a commitment to the wellbeing of the Club in its organization and endeavours, the welfare of its members and to support and build upon the Club Development Plan. Obviously there is a fundamental skill requirement in the appointments of the Secretary and Treasurer and also a need for a relatively simple course qualification for the post of Welfare Officer. The posts of team captains have a mandatory requirement to be CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked and cleared due to Juniors playing in the squads.
General committee meetings are usually held on a monthly basis and more often than not last for approximately 2 hours.
As it stands at the moment, the current position of the present appointments are as follows:
Chairman Zain Sharif Will stand down and not seek re-election
due business and family commitments
Vice Chairman Vacant (New unfulfilled appointment)
Secretary Jack Broomfield Will stand down and not seek re-election
due to business commitments
Treasurer Steve Taylor Has volunteered for a further year
Welfare Officer Vacant (M Waidson resigned mid-season)
Deputy Welfare Maurice Smith Will deputize but will not be Welfare Officer

Midweek Mark Williams Will stand if no others forthcoming
Junior Manager/ Zain Sharif Has volunteered for a further year

Member Jayne Broomfield Will stand down with Jack, but may consider
voluntary assistance as and when required
Member Vacant
Written ‘Job Descriptions’ are available if you are interested from Jack Broomfield, but please feel
free to ring the undersigned for a broad brush introduction to any of the posts.
Would you please indicate on the attached form your intention to attend the meeting and if you feel you
are able to offer the Club a few hours of your time next season, in what capacity.
With hope,
