Winning the toss and electing to bat Kempsey made a steady start, the first wicket falling at 81, with David Robinson (35) including one six and five fours. A middle order collapse was stemmed by Mark Williams (35) two sixes and three fours, and Steve Robins (41), five fours. The only other batsmen to reach double figures being Will Perry (27), four fours and Dan Smith-Keitley (12) with Kempsey finishing on 172 for 9 wickets in this 45 over friendly.

In reply Jaguar openers set about the Kempsey Pacemen. An early wicket S. Weaterall (11) only spurred on the attack with Ian Canning (74) two sixes and thirteen fours. Dropped catches and lax fielding helped S. Griffin (47 no) one six and four fours and R. Davis (29 no) one six and five fours taking the total to 174 for the loss of only two wickets in the 26th over. Jaguar winning by 8 wickets. Will Smith (1-24) and Will Perry (1-24) the wicket takers for Kempsey.
