MATCH REPORT for

KEMPSEY v ABBERLEY Sunday 17th August 2003

Winning the toss and electing to bat Abberley made slow process with only 55 on the board with 2 wickets down after 20 over's. Ricky Savery (27) and Alan Cook (17).
Kevin Vernall (28) with lan Lythall (30) then helped the score along aided by Nigel Massey (14 no) and Andy Wintle (9 no) taking Abberley to 154 for 5 wickets
in their allotted 40 over's.
Will Perry (20-2), Eric Hall (38-2) and Steve Robins (10-1) the wicket takers for Kempsey.

In reply Kempsey too found the runs slow to come after losing a wicket for eight runs in the second over. Mark Williams then put on 37 before being run out. Will Perry (18), stayed on as runner for Man of the Match, Dan Smith-Keitley, who made 63 runs before being stumped by Ricky Savery. Andy Newcombe (15 no) and Steve Robins (6 no) helped Kempsey to 157 for 4 wickets, their sixth consecutive win.
Nigel Massey (28-2) and Ian Lythall (19-1) the wicket takers for Abberley.
