Match Report Winning the toss and electing to bat, Kempsey made a poor start losing both openers cheaply in this 40 over friendly. Then dogged batting from Dan Smith-Keitley (100) supported by Eric Hall (26), Neil Webley (12) and Gerald Chance (20) enabled Smith-Keitley to complete a maiden century, including two sixes and twelve fours before being caught off the penultimate ball of the innings. Kempsey all out on 191 off 40 over's. Old Georgians wicket takers were Simon Gallager (46-4), Geoff Gilbert (40-2), Mark Manning (31-1) and Joe Libetter.
In reply Kempsey bowlers could not contain the Old Georgians fight back. Doug Evans (41) two sixes and two fours, John Gilbert (46) one six and five fours, Tony Libetter (15 no) and a quick fire attack by Simon Gallagher (74 no) including one six and twelve fours saw Old Georgians winners by 8 wickets.
