Flyford won the toss and elected to bat in this 40 over Friendly. In poor weather conditions runs were hard to come, on a track that favoured the bowlers. S. Beavan (24) including three fours, T. Green (25) with one six and three fours, helped along by P. Holpin (14), with three fours brought Flyford to 95 all out in the 25th over.

Kempsey struggled, losing both openers cheaply. Steve Robins (22) four fours, Mark Williams (10), stayed for a while but it was left to Neil Webley (26 no) with four fours, to see them home helped by Brian Salisbury (6 no), finishing 99 for 6 in the 38th over.
